Future Car Powered By Air, Not Gas
Air powered car is an idea that has been around for the longest time. With movies that looked into the future, flying cars and super cars are all about to come to reality when Tata Motors is taking the challenge to make it real.
Mr Guy Negre is going to create a car that runs on compressed air. A relatively new technology but whether it will work or not is still under research. According to Mr Negre, a full load of compressed air that is available in many or at least most of the gas stations takes only a few minutes to load and will take the prototype car a full 125 miles (200 km).
A first model of such car will be named as CityCat. The cost will be around $12,500 and is expected to be available in most countries. However, the maximum speed is up to 68mph which is fair enough to travel anywhere within the time frame. The bad side is the car is definitely not appealing to speed cars fans.
Finally, there will be a car that is not going to leave more carbon foot prints and this is by far the best option that we have, until the time when another renewable energy comes along. There is no need for fuel thus save more money.
Here are some pretty interesting articles to read for more understanding of the air powered technology:

@Chris, thanks for the clarification.
Does anyone really believe that it takes higher gas prices to motivate research and development into alternative fuel sources?
