Some people only care about saving money on fuel. However, do you know that you can save money on car maintenance as well. While your car is using fuel to generate the power to move, your car needs to maintain properly to ensure proper functioning. Therefore, perhaps once in a month you would send in your car to the local mechanic for regular check and repair. Then, you will receive a bill that might send you to the hospital for heart attack.
So, how can you avoid such a situation?
1. Get a Newer Car When Buying Second Hand.
This rule is very important. When you want to buy a car, of course the best solution is to get a new car but not everyone can afford a new car so second hand cars would be the choices. Therefore when you choose a second hand car, go for one that is newer than the others. Newer cars often requires little maintenance for the first few years. If you pick a really old car, you might have to spend more for the maintenance.
2. Subscribe to An Excellent Car Insurance.
Excellent car insurance means insurance that will cover for your car maintenance repair especially if you have an accident. This way, you can save even more on the maintenance fee.
3. Do It Yourself.
If you have some basic knowledge about cars, repair yourself if you know how rather than sending it to your mechanic. This way you only have to spend on the tools. Tools are cheaper than the mechanic’s fee.
4. Use Your Car The Way It Should Be.
For example, if you are supposed to stop at the red light, STOP!
DO NOT attempt to speed to pass the red light as it will damage your car and cost more for maintenance.
5. Wash You Car.
You might laugh at this but if you truly understand, you would not. The reason why you should wash your car is because washing your car will clean away the dirt and mud so that it can prevent corrosion and increase your car body’s life.
